We had an absolutely wonderful day with our tour guide Feliciano! He was funny, engaging, and incredibly knowledgeable. We learned so much about the Montserrat monastery, as well as the in and out of grape growing, harvesting and wine production at Joan Segura Pujadas winery. The day ended with a beautiful lunch outdoors in the vineyard on a perfect spring day. Truly and over the top excellent experience. Highly recommend.

My mom and I had such an amazing time with our guide, Alexandra! Everything from the ride up the mountain, to the wine tasting in the vineyard, was incredible. It was such an interactive and unique experience, and everyone we encountered on the tour was so kind and thoughtful. 10/10 recommend!

This is one of the best tours we have done anywhere. Our guide Ariana was so personable. She really wanted our group of a dozen people to fully understand what we were experiencing. She shared so many nuanced details of the Catalan culture to us. Ariana got us up to Monsterrat ahead of the crowds. No easy feat on Holy Thursday. Afterwards, we went to an amazing vineyard where we toured the cava caves and got a demonstration of the entire wine and cava making process. Then the winemaker himself drove us to his actual vineyard where we had lunch cooked by his wife. It was beyond delicious. All-in-all, it was a very special day. I would do it over and over again. I encourage you anyone considering this tour to jump at the chance to do it!

We had a truly amazing day. Our guide Ariana was so personable and made sure we were all well cared for. She was full of information that helped us understand what we were seeing and doing. She got us to Monserrat early, before the crowds arrived. Then we went to Joan Segura Pujadas vineyard and were spoiled by Joan, the winemaker, himself. We tried delicious wines and cavas and had lunch in the vineyard, cooked by Juan's wife. It was spectacular. I wish Ariana could come home with us because she feels like a great friend. Don't miss this tour.

My husband rounded out our 6-night trip to Barcelona with this tour, and I am so glad that we did! Visiting Montserrat first thing in the morning is ideal. Though it was a bit chilly, we were able to experience it before the crowds arrived. It was almost like having the monastery to ourselves! Next up...the Cava Wainery tour. What an amazing experience from beginning to end. I loved learning about Cava and Joan Segura Pujadas' family winery. The icing on the cake was the lunch out in the vineyard.

An amazing tour with Jordy! An early morning trek to Monserrat to beat the crowds and amaze in all the beautiful sights without the anxiety of shoulder to shoulder masses and then the most surreal and beautiful day at the most quaint and comfortable cava winery! An amazing and personal lesson in the production and fermentation of cava, a highly enjoyable mini off road adventure to the fields in some legendary vintage land rovers, and an unforgettable lunch prepared by the vintner’s wife to be eaten Al fresco! A memory to last a lifetime!

Our guide, Feliciano, was fun and knowledgeable and made our day one to remember. He had a real sense of pride about growing up the region and it showed. <br />The luxury van left the city center early which made us some of the first tourists to arrive at Montserrat, which meant we had great opportunities for pictures. <br />The day was capped off by visiting a small family owned Cava winery in which we were served lunch made of traditional local products by the owner himself!

Personalized small group tours. Our tour was led by the expert local guide Feliciano. He was amazing!! Great tour of Montserrat!!!<br />We took a private wine tour led by the Owner Joan Segura Pujadas- phenomenal tour!! Highlights include full winery tour, multiple tastings, spending time together with owner and private Sommelier Georgianna- included a private lunch, vineyard off road field tour, and phenomenal memories. <br />This was a lifetime tour!! Very special!!

Is this day trip wheelchair accessible?

Unfortunately, the vehicles we use on these tours do not accomodate wheelchairs. If you would like a day trip from Barcelona and have a mobility impairment, please contact our customer service department ([email protected]) and we will be happy to organize a private experience for you.

Is there are dress code for the Basilica of Montserrat?

Yes. In the Cathedral of Montserrat, both men and women are asked to wear clothing that covers at least the shoulders and knees.

How should I dress for this day trip?

Montserrat sits at a higher elevation than much of Catalonia so tends to be a few degrees cooler than the other places you visit on this trip. Please bring an extra layer to ensure your comfort when we are on the mountain.
